We have a WINNER!!!!!!

I guess I gave it away huh?... Especially by the title of this particular blog entry. Well let me just say this and say it loud and proud...." I have officially said YES to the dress!!!!!!"
As you know, I went to three stores this past Saturday and I saw some beautiful dresses. But when I found THE dress, let me just say I knew it. I had an instant glow on my face. I felt like such a princess and I could see the big day by just looking in the mirror. I tried on the dress several times and did not want take it off. It was just perfect and it had everything I was look for within the dress. First and foremost, it was not a heavy dress. So that was a winner in my book already! I think I am slightly traumatized by the weight of the first dress that I put on a few weeks ago. LOL!

The sales lady took several pictures of the dress for me, so that I could go home and look at it later. The whole ride home my mother and I talked about this dress. The ride home was definitely different from the day prior. We barely talked about the dress that I thought was the one, but this dress we could not stop talking about it. I told my mom I wanted to think about the dress and I would let her know my decision after a few days. I know you are thinking, why did I have to go home and think about it? Well I am definitely not an impulse buyer. I have to think about most, if not all of my purchases. Yes, and those rules still apply when it came to my wedding dress.
The entire night while I was at home, all I could think about was the dress. It was so hard not to talk to my fiance about it, since I was so excited. I even had a dream about the dress (I know strange, but I was excited). So the next morning I sent an email to my mom letting her know that I wanted the dress. I think my mother already knew that email was coming, she knows her daughter well. When I set my mind on something, it's really hard to get me to go in another direction.
Now that I decided that this was in fact the dress, I called the shop to set up my appointment for my measurements. Since I did not have many of the girls with me during the whole search process, I decided to invite two of my close friends out to the fitting with me. I gave them no details about the dress, as I wanted them to see on me first. Let's just say they were beyond happy with my selection. It's simply the perfect dress for me! I'm so happy and I cannot wait to wear the dress in September.
I wish I could tell you more about the dress, but as you know this is a public blog. I do not want any of the details getting back to my fiance. So the wait to see the dress continues until September! :-)
