My first dress shopping experience

Greetings!

I told you all that I would update you on my first dress shopping experience. To say the least it was definitely an experience! My mother and I went to the shop and it was full of beautiful dresses. It was really hard to figure out where to begin exactly, especially since I did not have a particular style in mind. Since this was my first time trying on dresses, I wanted to try all of the different kinds from sweat heart, to mermaid, and A-line. Now after doing research, I actually know the differences between the different styles. :-)

The girl from the shop was very sweet and very helpful and was real patient with me since she knew it was my first time trying on dresses. I definitely appreciated her patience. I can be really indecisive at times, so it takes a patient sales person to deal with a person like me. I tried on about six dresses in total while at the shop and it took us about a total of two hours or so. The first time I put the dresses on my first thought was - 'phew! - These dresses are heavy!'. I'm such a small person and I felt like a lot of the dresses weighed me down. Since I was not a fan of the weight of the various dresses, I definitely made a note to myself. That note was not to have a dress that was too heavy. I know an odd requirement right? That's me though, I'm very different.

Of course since this is a public blog and my fiance can see this, I cannot say too much about the details of the different dresses that I tried on that day. Though I can say with confidence that I did NOT say "Yes to the dress". The dresses in the store were beautiful even though I did not find my dress. The experience was great and I definitely learned a lot. I was now able to narrow down what style worked for my body type. All in all my mother and I had a great time, and it was definitely a memorable first experience.

I have a few more appointments set up for after the Christmas holiday. Hopefully I will be able to say 'yes' soon! I will keep you posted.
