The dress crunch..grrr!

After visiting a few bridal shops over the past few weeks, I started to notice one major trend. Each shop that I visited told me that I needed to make a purchase by the end of next month. Or I could potentially have to pay a rush order to have my dress ready on time. This definitely put me in a slight panic mode. Since I am the type of person that like to plan in advance. I also like to have a timeline for most of the things I do, hearing this information did not make me happy camper.

Since I am pretty much a deer in headlights on this whole wedding thing, I decided to ease my mind by reading articles online. One article that I found to be really helpful was "Wedding Gown: When Should I Start Wedding Dress Shopping? I definitely hit the jackpot with this article, I mean can't you tell by the title? LOL. I found that this article was very informative, and it also eased my mind some. The article also helped me put things into perspective. I realized that though the sales associates at the bridal store are very sweet, they are also trying to make a sale at the end of the day. Even though all of their information was consistent about when would be the best time to purchase my dress, I did not like the pressure that came along with this information. I am the type of person that will walk away from a sale if a person closes too early with me. I like to think things through and not feel the pressure.

Reading this article definitely eased my mind some, which in turn prepared me for the next big day of searching. I actually have three stores to go to tomorrow. Phew! It's going to be a long day. So I better rest up! Until the next one.
