This past weekend I went to my second bridal shop, once again it was another great experience! I loved how this shop was set up, it kind of reminded me of Kleinfield for 'Say Yes to the Dress'. Very cute show by the way!

The shop had different rooms to where the future brides could try on their selected gowns, and have family and friends watch. This time around instead of just my mom my best friend joined me as well. Lucky me, our schedules aligned and she was in town for the holidays. I knew with the two of them by my side, we would either be able to find the dress or narrow down some options.
Now that I had gone to one dress shop the weekend prior, I felt a little better and not as nervous. I selected a few dress styles from the magazines and brought them with me. Just a tip for you future brides, I definitely suggest that you bring pictures of your desired wedding dress. Having pictures not only helps keep you focused, but it also allows the sales associate to get to know your style. Since this particular store had a few of the designers from the magazines, I started with those dresses first. Again, as you will see from my last post that not a lot of details will be provided about the details of the dresses.
My experience at this store was a little different because I had the opinion of two people, as well as some other ladies in the store. It actually made me laugh a little. I would get feedback from both my best friend and my mother, and then the ladies from the other room would come in with their feedback. These ladies were definitely intrigued by my dress selections. Especially since they made a point to come into the room each time I tried on a different dress. They were so cute!
At this particular shop I tried on the same amount of dresses as before, which was about six different dresses. I even tried one dress on more than once, I for sure thought this was the dress. I even got the thumbs up approval from the ladies in the room next to me. In addition to their approval, both my best friend and mother loved the dress. So of course I definitely thought this was the dress. I think you can see where I am going with this, especially by the title of this posting.
I was able to take a picture of the dress, which really made me happy. The first store that I went to the week prior, I was unable to take any pictures. Though I can understand why a store would have such a policy, but at the same time a picture says a lot. At least for me. I had my best friend take a picture of the dress for me, so that I could take a look at it later once I got home.
Once I got home from the bridal salon I started to think about the dress. I figured out pretty quickly that this was NOT the dress. I slowly started to pick the dress apart, and found several items on the dress that I did not like. I even did several searches online, so that I could see the dress on another person. Let's just say when I saw the dress on the model, I did not like it anymore. Please do not get me wrong, the dress looked wonderful on her and it was beautiful. I then looked back at the picture and the 'oohh and ahh' factor was not there for me. So there you have it ladies and gentlemen, the search continues......
Xoxo,
L.B.
